And how are we supposed to make sure that this democratic process isn't undermined by those with more wealth/resources, in the way that our "democratic" country has been?? Won't the wealthy just hijack/corrupt the process for their own purposes the way they do to everything else?
How are human beings supposed to properly align AI when we can't even get our shit together and properly manage states or the country in general? People don't know what the fuck they're doing or the unintended consequences of their actions.

If they're serious about this the FIRST thing they need to do, right now, is change the stupid name. Nobody wants to be reminded of the middle-ages when they're using cutting-edge technology. Name it something cool and futuristic, not fucking "Bard".

define "real intelligence" then. Sounds like you are describing something beyond what would normally be considered "intelligent".

isn't that already how corporations under capitalism treat people? Humans are not seen as individuals by the system but just tools/resources to be used up and rotated out when they're no longer useful. yes it is dehumanizing but place the blame where it belongs, we've been dehumanized way before computers were even a thing.

hopefully pooh bear will force him to sell Tesla's chinese division to a chinese company or be forced to exit the chinese market. After all the tech in his cars could easily be used to track and surveil chinese citizens.
