That was even lampshaded in one or two episodes of Reboot but it was cancelled

Wait I can't follow the reasoning, I think some executive said ( or was it an editorial?) They hadn't enough night to schedule so many show so Max gave they shelves to expand it? Maybe it was a previous exec

I don't think that was low budget at the time, the salt corroded the mechanical shark, the idea of using the barrels as a proxy of the shark attacking was truly innovative.

IMO Russian Doll drops a little bit in S2 but this seem a more 'fresh' character

Natasha has a tell when someone is lying she fells something is off so you even see people she knows indirectly not replying, asking questions instead of a reply etc

Reply to comment by ChairmanUzamaoki in What is the meaning of the depth Patrick Bateman goes into about music in American Psycho? by ChairmanUzamaoki
Yeah it is the structure of Rolling Stone reviews or other magazines of that time, when the book appeared it was more evident because every review approached in a similar way. Bateman has learned to mimic that in order to appear more 'common' or 'friendly',

I haven't read essays or discussed with someone else but I guess that part core idea is just desensitizing through repetition embedding you un the same feeling those authorities and population feel. The line that broke me was... after pages and pages describing several ways all those corpses were found one character ask another one 'you don't see nothing in common' 'no' 'they were all workers'

Yeah a passage through academia will make you appreciate that part, but I guess that tongue in cheek would be lost from the outside

Reply to comment by tangential_quip in What is the point of spoiling the plot of a book in its preface?? by DontNotNotReadThis
Yeah, I learned this as a teen, any text added to the OG edition can have basically any adding spoiling it like 'I admire what my friend the author did here, not only killing the protagonist one time but two' or 'now I am older and we are republishing this book I am proud of not only killing the protagonist one time but two'

I always pay attention to the stunt guys in this movie, that guy got blasted against every wall in the Nakatomi, McClane has zero easy fight in the first movie.

I just watched the second episode, the end is insane although I almost say aloud that >!'dad' !<at the end
I found it Hailey ridiculously funny paired with Kiefer. I felt heavy Burn After Reading vibes here.
