Yeah, Canada here. Even my jetta has relatively low numbers on the clock. I work with a guy who has a 2001 golf with 850k on the original 1.8t & 5 speed manual.

Damn, that is LOW mileage for a car like that. I have 400k on my 2002 jetta.

I assume he must have. Rebuilt at minimum.
