It’s weird that he cares so much. Invite him to a celebratory dinner after the ceremony. That’s only part that’s fun anyways.

you are sabotaging any potential relationship with this man. Labels exist for a reason.
he stated that he wants to be married with kids in two years. If you’re not going to show commitment, he’s probably going to find a partner who will.

Reply to Say you had a substantial income that is unaffected by where you live, where would be the best place to live? by oroora6
The Southbay of Southern California is the greatest place on the planet. Climate, access to restaurants/travel, the ocean, and the people are nice.
it’s one of the most expensive places on the planet for that reason. I grew up there, and have moved around the country in my adult life. It doesn’t get better.
that being said, I value the weather, access to entertainment/restaurants, and the beach a lot when I consider where i want to live.

you either break up with her over it, or you stop trying to control her.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be absolutely necessary. AI is about to explode. Chat gpt is the single most impressive technology I've ever seen! The next 10 years are going to be wild.

Sounds like your relationship is the main issue. Controlling partners are never conducive to a happy relationship.
I'd suggest trying couples therapy if you want it to work. If she doesn't cooperate, it's over.
