20 years ago I was mostly listening to 60s, 80s, and 80s. In the past ten years I have found a crapload of current artists that I love. In the last 5 years I have leaned into bands from 20 years ago that my friends were all into and I have huge nostalgia for. So, listen to what you want. If it's good, it'll be good in any year

They never the album 2112 all the way through, but they did do Moving Pictures back on the 2010 tour. That was an awesome tour

People have already mentioned some great bands all I'll throw in is Skating Polly. Some of their songs are in a similar vibe while others will be a little harder but overall big 90s vibe

One Step Closer by Linkin Park. Last Resort by Papa Roach was already a hit and when I heard LP for the first time I remember telling my friends that this is the band we'll be listening to for the next several years

The Garden by Rush. The last song on their last album. The entire album is a reflection of a lifetime and this song is a remarkable coda. Didn't think it'd be the last of them but I can't think of a better ending to their career.
"The future disappears into memory With only a moment between Forever dwells in that moment Hope is what remains to be seen"

For newer artists check out Skating Polly. I've heard them referred to as a bunch of different genres but they definitely scratch the grunge itch for me at times
