This is a state park but in an urban area with 600 acres of land. I don’t think allowing 60-80 acres to build a community center and some ball fields is too much to ask. That would leave over 500 acres of natural open space. Not to mention cleaning up the 250 acres of contamination that fills this park!

Correct that this is state land and owned by the state but the RFP does not lie. This whole narrative about a golf course trying to buy state land is a twisted lie. Read the RFP that came from the state and you can see that it was the state seeking this and that they clearly state that they have not tested the soil beyond the heavy chromium they removed and whoever does anything on this land they will have to test it and clean it up. Those are the facts
