It's time spent in the woods exercising, it's thoroughly enjoyable to most people who do it. Not everything is relatable to dollars, but if you must, I can certainly think of less lucrative activities we all engage with every day.

1200 sqft, $0, same setup. I even get a free membership to exercise in the forest gym out of it. Temps between 82 in the evening to 68 when we wake up.

You're the best, been keeping helping a few neighbors here too. The folks I've seen helping gained 2000 esteem points in my books.
Take care & merry Christmas.

There's really only 1 month of the year we don't have a fire: July. Every other month has at least a day or 2 of running the stove.
And it doesn't matter since fuel will never be too expensive to run the chainsaw. Firewood literally grows on tree.
Flowchart is simple: house too warn? no -> light up the stove.

Welcome to adulthood in the US. Wait until you add dependents, or figure out that teeth and eyes aren't part of healthcare. Don't get sick, don't call an ambulance, and prepare a good sob story for your gofundme.
Enjoy making health decisions based on financial considerations like nowhere else in the industrialized world.
This bubble will have to burst, but because no one has a choice but to stay alive, we'll have to weather many more years of gouging. In the meantime the U.S. life expectancy will keep declining, like nowhere else in the industrialized world.

Great timing, it'll get lost in the noise of everything else that's going up 20% in cost.
