Reply to BIFL Furniture ideas to remember grandma? by dmay73
You can put the money in an educational trust for your children. MIL started to slip with alzheimer's. Before we lost her completely, we had her put money in a prepaid educational account for our kids. She also prepaid her funeral. Remember her with your children's education.

You're outside a house, there's a cool party going on in the house, you can look in the window, see people dancing and having a good time, but you're not invited. If they do let you in, you have to sit in a chair and not interact with anybody. You feel like gravity is pulling on you harder than anyone else. You want to feel happy, but you forgot how. Most days you don't feel anything at all.

Our vending machines in my hospital (Ohio) do too. I like it. I think dollar bills are a waste.

Reply to LPT: If you have young kids who want to see the ball drop but you don’t want them to stay up until midnight, find a video of a past year and play it at whatever time you want on NYE. by eggraid101
Let them stay up. They'll probably fall asleep anyway. If they stay up, that's fine too. Don't let them sleep too late the next morning. Life goes on. Father of 2, by the way.
