I think a lot of people buy the checkmark so that people confuse them for being someone actually notable. When that's no longer the case, interest in Twitter Blue is going to plummet.

Why does Prime have this problem? I once tried watching Veep on Prime. Something was missing, I couldn't get into the comedy and I felt like it was already in the middle of some arc. Turns out I started watching the final season or something. Nothing landed for me because I wasn't properly introduced to any of the characters. It took me a couple years to give Veep another proper go. Always gotta make sure that Prime is starting you on the pilot.
