I’ve worked in dealerships in several different capacities, including finance, sales management, etc. dealers are well aware that this person is looking for a car and often times competing dealerships occasionally communicate with each other. Someone’s looking for specific trim level, and they don’t have it in stock They will call other dealers for trade. Most likely that dealer has gotten the same request for that car as well, the dealer that actually has that specific vehicle in stock can actually offer the best price on it because of holdback. If this person shopping for a car has a trade, I don’t care how many mimeographs you sent out requesting a quote, you have to get your traded appraised and that leaves a mountain of room for negotiating that cannot be done via US mail, fax machine, etc..

Reply to comment by rusmo in [Bengals] Forever a Bengals great. Congratulations on retirement and one heck of a career, AJ Green. by BCLetsRide69
Michael Irvin played in a different era, it’s hard to compare the two. While they had a potent passing attack, the League just was not geared towards offense the way it is now and the passing game. I’m a Steelers fan and have a hell of a lot of respect for AJ Green, I enjoyed rooting against him :-)

This is pretty shitty but believe it or not Philly does not have the market cornered with public safety corruption. Over here on the western side of the state we are doing our best :-).

I’m sorry experience was so nasty. I have many friends that live in Philadelphia and I’ve got to many tailgate and games, Phillies, Eagles and even the Flyers. I’m from Pittsburgh and obviously love the Steelers did the penguins and but one has ever gave me a hard time. We must chops a lot, but it’s all in good fun, people are people doesn’t matter where you go. I respect how absolutely devoted the fans are, I mean they live and breathe Phillies and Eagles right now, easy to do when they’re winning but even when they are not, they are pretty loyal. I even went to the Penguins Flyers playoff game a few years ago in Philly for game six when the Penguins won and no one bothered me with my penguins jersey, just some random stuff in good fun. On the flipside, I’ve seen some Steeler fans be pretty nasty to people from Baltimore and it’s embarrassing. I think whenever stuff like that happens, it really reflects poorly on the hosting city and I don’t blame you feeling the way you do. My experience has been positive there

Reply to Ex-owner of Philly pharmacy that pushed more Oxy than any other U.S. drugstore sentenced to prison by justanawkwardguy
The Sackler family are still multi billionaires and none of them have spent a second in jail. They hid most of their personal wealth, Purdue pharmaceuticals filed for bankruptcy protection in 2019. Their names got dragged through the mud, but overall they walked away pretty unscathed for the heinous crimes they committed. They interviewed Richard Sackler and asked if he felt any responsibility for the opioid crisis and he said one word, no. They literally got millions of people hooked on opioids by paying off the FDA for a bullshit pill label that stated it was nonaddictive and flooding the country with sales people. It’s really fucked up what they did, they knew exactly what they were doing. and did not care one bit. Their name used to be on a lot of art museums and charitable organizations in New York. Now their name should be associated with Kensington

I’ve been there a few times, never seen anything as odd and fucked as that. It’s just a shitty dive bar, but I never felt uncomfortable. Sorry that happened to you.
