Yeah pretty much. Or recommendations from friends/family I suppose. That's how I started working with mine.

They're lying to you, find an independent insurance broker and shop for a new policy. Then do that every year going forward.

I just noticed it this week. I suppose it could have been there last week but I didn't check. They haven't reissued the bills yet so god knows what that will look like...

My bills never looked that out of sorts, but now if I log in they've retracted the last 3 months of bills, giving me a $300 credit on my account. They're apparently reinstating corrected bills, but it's been days and they still haven't done that. It's a total mess.

Reply to Heat Pump Hot Water Heater in Our Region by MrTipps
They do perfectly fine in this region. I installed one at my mountain cabin where it's colder than here and it works great. It sits in a mostly-unheated basement so I think I'll be seeing much greater savings in the summer when it's all a bit warmer down there. But for my scenario I was replacing a resistive electric heater and literally any savings is better than what I had.
Even with it being around 50 degrees in the basement it runs in heat-pump mode most of the time, though the resistive coils definitely kick in.

In joint compound it was banned in 1977. And I think you're looking for 1989 as a general ban not 99.

If the house was built in the 80s and asbestos in joint compound was banned in 1977 I don't think there's much need to do that.

I guess nobody really cares that Trinseo potentially poisoned the 6th largest city in the country as their stock is only down 1.5% so far today.

As Dan Savage always says, if kids got raped by clowns as often as they get raped by preachers it would be illegal to take your kids to the circus.

The 30% federal tax credit is already in effect (assuming the heat pump meets requirements.) However many of the other rebates created by the IRA have not gone into effect yet because each state has to implement them. This is a good summary of what's going on: https://www.rewiringamerica.org/app/ira-calculator

Right. However dumb he thought this issue was, he could have renamed the drink, rolled his eyes, and continued on. Instead he’s got a closed business for several days, a story in the paper that makes him look like an ass, and probably expiring product because the business was closed. Losses on losses on losses. But hey the libs were owned I guess.

I see it as who had what to lose. Agree with the employees or not, they were willing to lose their jobs over this. Any manager/owner not fully up their own ass would take that as a wake up call.

I think it’s weirder to be so committed to a drink name, when enough employees are ready to walk over it that it will force you to close. Over a drink name.

Whatever this was or wasn’t about, the owner chose to literally close his business over listening to his employees about something relatively minor. It speaks volumes, really.

Both sides is what's funny to me. One side banned books, the other side said "don't represent people who ban books. Banning books is bad." But yeah, both sides. OK.
