Even just a few years ago she looked great. I think it’s understandable to fight aging with some minor work, but what she did to herself as of late clearly jumped the shark.

People will say you’re being too nostalgic but I too pine for the days when the internet was an amazing invention with unlimited possibilities instead of a lingering threat to democracy, and young middle class people had a good life and hope for the future.

Yep this is the way to go. You don’t have to cut them off completely. I have a friend like this that used to rely on me constantly and stressed me the hell out, but nowadays we only hang out occasionally and it’s so much better. Glad to have him in my life but not to the extent it used to be. Just need to distance yourself from them and be less available.
