I’d go check out a Marin from Legend Bikes if you’re looking to commute daily— you need a bike that’s going to last. If you cheap out now I think you’ll end up spending more money in the long run replacing parts. Just my two cents

If buying new Legend Bikes in Fox Point is a good place to check, depending on your budget and what you’re looking for. If you’re looking to spend 100-200 bucks (ie Walmart prices) I’d look for a vintage road bike or 90s mountain bike from Craigslist or FB Marketplace before buying from a big box— the quality is typically much better than the poor quality, joyless mass produced bikes at Walmart

Is sorrel the same thing as flor de jamaica? I’d try Good Fortune or Compare Foods/America’s Food Basket, both in South Providence. Used to be able to buy giant bags of the stuff. I could be entirely wrong though!

Reply to Best Burger in Providence? by NEYachtBroker
Five Guys in Johnston (their fries are hard to beat too), Slow Rhode. Ivy Tavern burgs used to be OK but something changed about them (other than the exorbitant price). I wanna check out The Abbey, never been.
That being said, never got the vibe that Providence was a burger city, like a lot of cities. We get gaggers, for better and worse.

I used to really enjoy the Ivy Tavern's burger but the last couple times I went it was pretty crappy...not to mention expensive!

I assume sheet pizza-- like a lot of other cheese-less, topping-less pizzas-- is a cost effective way of feeding a lot of people (read: children) at parties.

Pho Horn on the Providence/Pawtucket line always hits the spot in this weather. It's affordable and medicinal. O Dinis in E. Providence has great Portuguese food. Sun and Moon, also in EP, has yummy Korean food. All of these places have nice menus and would make a great Sunday supper.

Just dodged a trash can lid to the dome piece. Tonight's as good a night as ever for seven hot weiners all the way. Better than herbal tea.

Love seeing the anti-Riv Riv builds. No optimistic, breezy colorway, 1x drivetrain, a frame bag, etc. Is that a SON 28 front hub? That could have a Bifl post on its own!
