Our furnace stopped working one night a few years ago. Turns out we were out of oil. The guy from our heater / oil company had a can and poured it into our tank to hold us until a delivery could be made. His next stop was a gas station that had diesel to refill the can.

Make sure your vehicles are listed on your account. re: replenishment - we had some excessive tolls over a short period of time, all valid, but they bumped up the replenishment amount significantly. You can can the amount reduced but it takes a call to them.

I would recommend talking with your real estate agent for contractor recommendations. A good agent will have a list and should be able to provide you one or more recommendations for what ever work you need to have done.

Get an engineer to perform inspections for you, especially if you are thinking about removing walls and re-routing plumbing and electrical. Those walls may be bearing walls and could weaken the structure of your house. You should be getting inspections anyway. It is money well spent, even if you do not buy the house.

Here is a tip. You may be able to get a rider on your insurance to cover the replacement of the waste line from the house to the street. A couple of $ a month can save you $10K down the road.

Make sure you have your vehicle and plate listed on your account. Also have a credit card on the account to replenish the funds.

Am in NJ and have used toll systems in other states - De, Pa, Fl, Md. The tolls show up on my EZPass statement. I would think your EZPass usage would show up on your NC statements / bills if an agreement between the systems is in place. Make sure your lic plate and vehicle is registered on your NC account (am assuming they do that). NJ likes to include a $50 admin fee if they have to send you a letter to collect the toll. If your transponder is not read correctly, they will waive the admin fee if your vehicle is registered on your account and only collect the toll.

Your card numbers may not have been stolen at Wawa. Could have happened months ago, the number may have been sold a few times, and now, or rather right before now, was when they decided to use your card numbers. I would contact your CC company asap, ask for the fraud department, and review the recent purchases made with the card. See if they are all your purchases.

We use to get Perdue wings as they were bigger than most. BJ's, Shop Rite, or another supermarket. They were a little bigger than restaurant size and always tasty. I've seen and been served, plenty of scrawny chicken wings, that weren't Perdue. Wegmans may be another choice as they have had decent chicken products.

Find someone else to do the work for you. I replaced my own AC capacitor for a couple of bucks. Thermocouple should be similar, add a few more for labor if needed. Sounds like they won't leave the home of office for less than $500.

Find someone else to give estimates for repair and replacement, and do the work.
