These people don't sound great, but it's really on the church/funeral director or whoever for putting everyone in this situation and not organizing things responsibly.

They could've put up no-parking signs ahead of time and communicated things to people, but it's easiest to just do what you want and see if someone can stop you.

Yea, I think I've had similar. When this happens I check the air quality index (https://www.airnow.gov/?city=Jersey%20City&state=NJ&country=USA) or pollen reports. Both have been in decent ranges however. Not totally sure what it is, maybe just the low humidity.

Jersey City politicians have arranged for a substantial amount of tax money to go to Pompidou. Now they are receiving gifts in return. They are also not being transparent. Hope this helps.

Everyone agrees the red car and tailgater are the most at fault in this situation. I'm not trying to debate that.

The point I'm trying to make is that the yellow car has some agency to diffusive the dangerous situation. They do in fact have a duty to drive defensively. Defensive driving means driving safely despite the actions of others, even if the rules are on your side.

If the yellow car can easily fix the situation then it should fix it, even if it's not its fault. The stubborn hardheaded shit is part of the problem.

If the red car isn't doing the right thing, the yellow car should slow down a little bit to allow some separation. Sometimes the red car subconsciously slows down too though.

My favorite instance was when I was in a crosswalk on Jersey Ave and some lady ran the stop sign almost clipping me. But there was heavy traffic so she had to stop in the middle of the intersection blocking the box. She covered her face from my sight because she knew she was not only an asshole, but stupid too.

12 seconds into the video you can see the stoplight change from yellow to red. If you look all the way to the right you can see the white strip signal is horizontal, which tells the train to stop. At 16 seconds it changes to vertical meaning it can go, which makes sense since it should wait a few seconds after for traffic to clear.

It would be good to have clear video of the signal the whole time, but I've seen it in person. The problem isn't the signals.
