So many towns on this list don't even need their own police department. They're paying officers huge salaries, coming from the taxes of actual working people, to do basically nothing. They need to consolidate these towns, lower the number of officers, and start lowering some property taxes.

I've heard good things about it, but somehow never get down there. I really should since it's only a little over an hour away from me. When I was growing up it was falling apart and neglected but I've heard that it's totally different now and worth visiting. I just haven't yet so I don't know much about it.

There's not much to do in Long Branch. Point Pleasant isn't too much further and has a boardwalk that your kids might like. There aren't many nice hotels on the Northern NJ shore though that I know of. Mostly people rent houses if they vacation there.

If it were me getting in at that time after an 8 hour fight I'd probably just crash in a hotel near the airport for one night and then start the drive to Cape May first thing in the morning. Cape May is by far the nicest shore town in NJ, at least in my opinion. I'd probably want to spend most of the time there.

Close proximity to a big international airport. Trying to travel from many other states is a nightmare of long drives and connecting flights. I'd miss close proximity to things in general. I'm not in the most ideal or trendy/happening part of NJ but even so I can be in NYC in an hour, Philadelphia in an hour and a half, the beach in a little over an hour, hiking along the Appalachian trail within an hour. In a bigger state you could drive for hours and hours past absolutely nothing.

Not every part of NJ looks like that. I grew up in Bergen County and that was the landscape I grew up with. Everything was always covered with trash. It was loaded with trash under every overpass and along every highway. There were random abandoned shopping carts everywhere. The Passaic river was nearby and when the tide was low you'd see kitchen and bathroom fixtures that people dumped there and more piles of garbage. I thought that's just how Jersey was. I moved to Morris County for college and the first thing that struck me was the absence of garbage. I'd never seen NJ looking that clean. I'm in Somerset County now and it's the same, I never see any garbage on the street in my town or really any of the surrounding towns. If that's really your main issue, it might be solved by just moving to a different region of the state.

If you're living at home you could. It's not a bad thing to do if you can. I just could never afford to do more than the 6% that you need to get the company match where I work. I moved out right away after college. Even if living at home and saving money was the right move financially, there's no way I could do it for my sanity.

I know it makes no sense and the H Mart parking lot in Edison is enough of a mess all by itself. I can't imagine how bad this one will be. H Mart is an awesome store though. They've got all kinds of interesting stuff and it's worth the trip in general.

For me I stopped being able to get into Christmas as I got into my later 20s. A lot of my Christmas traditions/memories were very tied to my grandparents who both died in 2012. It really doesn't seem like it's going to be able to feel like Christmas again without them. I don't have kids of my own to continue traditions with, so they just sorta ended. I usually try to find something unrelated to Christmas to do around this time. This year I'm going to spend it with some friends in Atlantic City who also either don't celebrate Christmas or don't have family to spend it with. Hopefully it will be a good time.

I would love something like this or just more events/activities in winter. It gets so incredibly boring between November and March or even April really and I hate the cold. Yeah I have the right winter gear to go on a hike or something but I really don't enjoy being outside when it's under 50 degrees and the winter landscape is pretty bleak and not very scenic at least in my opinion. It would be cool if they still had events like they do in the summer and fall.. like beer or food truck festivals, etc and just moved them inside somehow, but everything really shuts down starting around now and there's nothing going on again for 5 months.

You can check you seannanoonanart on instragram and see if you like any of her stuff. I'd imagine she'd make you something you request as well if you contact her.
