Reply to comment by TheTanelornian in Google adverts direct pregnant women to services run by UK anti-abortion groups by Lakerlion
Not exactly, google offers the ability to target a demographic and this group selected this group.
Now, whether google should allow targeting this group? If they just targeted pregnant women that seems like a valid demographic as they're going to have specific needs that a company would want to advertise to. Targeting people seeing an abortion though...that's going to bring out the worst.

is 5 nm the resolution of the process? So the transistors aren't 5 nm, but creating a usable semiconductor structure requires precision on the order of 5 nm

It’s took me a bit to catch the last beat, it really sounds like 6/8 but with a little hitch at the end

Reply to comment by decrementsf in TIL the United States government has a National Eagle Repository, which provides Eagle feathers and parts to Native Americans for cultural and religious purposes. by tranquilrage73
Infantilisation? This is for preservation of the eagles which would otherwise be extinct at this point, not “be a good boy and well give you feathers. If it wasn’t incredibly illegal to even posess I guarantee poachers would have wiped them out to make shitty “authentic” souvenirs.
The feathers are provided to preserve cultural heritage not to make anyone dependent on anyone else.
