Got my husband to AGH last month, middle of the night, when he was having a stroke. Can't thank them all enough, from ER docs and staff to the ICU people and all of the doctors and nurses. The level of care and treatment there was superb, couldn't have asked for better.

MIL had several visits to Jefferson and, well, those were nightmarish. Every. Single. One.

My Mom's cabbage rolls are my favorite, she uses the same recipe (in her head...) that she makes for meatballs, and the sauce isn't a heavy tomato sauce but a "light" tomato sauce and spices mixed with sauerkraut. I could never duplicate it, and always swore that I didn't ;ike sauerkraut, until she told me her secret ingredient! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Never say "winter's last grasp" in late February! We've had major snowstorms in mid-March but the weather trend this year makes me think that we're not going to get a lot of snow in the next 4 weeks or so. And lately the cold weather, snow that we did receive has tempered and melted within a few days anyway.

My husband and I realized many years ago that Valentine's Day is just not for us. Crowded, noisy restaurants, the stupid "price fixe" menu (that often includes only a glass of cheap wine and a forced red rose that has no scent)... honestly, it's just another reason to spend money when you could more wisely go out a few days after (or any time, really) and have a much better time. Cut flowers? Ugh, they die within a few days and are exorbitantly priced at this time of year. Chocolates? Nice thought but I'm still recovering from Christmas. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Now, because February is a crappy month, I do put out a couple of red decorations. He buys me a small box of conversation hearts. I make him a nice dinner with a good bottle of red wine, and coconut rum brownies for dessert. It works for us.

Didn't use it much at all, maybe in the summer if we were outside a lot or went to the beach for vacation, until I got a carcinoma on my face when I was in my early 50's. Now I wear a moisturizer with sunscreen every day, and layer a makeup with sunscreen over it. If I'll be outside much, I add sunscreen to the mix. Going to try the Trader Joe's brand, have read some good things about it.

Good for you! Too many people buy into or are pushed into (in my husband's case) the idea that an engagement ring HAS to be a diamond (IMO, they're rather boring, colorless stones). Look into small jewelry shops that sell estate jewelry, too. Vintage rings are so unique! My nephew proposed last Christmas and, together, they chose to design their own, a moonstone ring, from a small jeweler in the Sharpsburg area but I can't recall the name now.
