25 yr foreigner here - been living in DC for 7 years now

- Cost of living is expensive but doable, if you're making 4.6k Dollars you are going to be fine just don't keep buying everyone shots and ordering food every day; having a roommate is strongly advisable at that budget.

- I live near Cathedral Heights and Georgetown, if you live in that area you will be fine, and public transport to work will be easy, there are buses going up and down Wisconsin avenue every 30 min.

- Groceries: I eat healthy yet mostly the same thing every day w a good amount of meat; I spend like 50-100 weekly on groceries
- DC has a bunch of 20-year-olds running around, and pretty active nightlife; not like NYC though.

- DC is a fun city with a nice mix of people and activities to do. It is gorgeous, has a bunch of green areas and very pleasant weather.
