It would require a bridge that allowed a sailboat to get under it. The bridge that used to be there was a temporary bridge used to trolley military supplies back-and-forth between the Dorchester Armory, and the now defunct Squantum airfield. It was destroyed soon after World War II. Squantum airfield is now known as Squantum point park so that’s another thing that would make your idea impossible, creating a new roadway through a park would be in violation of mass general laws, article 97, which prohibits construction in designated Parkland, without special legislation.

I just renovated a small condo kitchen in boston.

A) dont pull permits. Thats dumb. Its just going to slow down your project. B) lowes in-stock white shaker cabinets. Bring your measurements, they will design for you. C)new england appliance in braintree. Ask for tom mcnamara, and tell him you want to look at scratch and dent appliances.

I just did a beautiful condo kitchen, new floors, cabs, counters, appliances, and electric for $15k.

Sounds like you paid a premium for an emergency replacement, the plumber likely dropped everything to address your busted water heater. You are also not factoring in any stock besides the water heater. Youre probably talking an additional $300-$500 in piping, valves, a new PVC vent, possibly a new wall to hang it on.

HD buys the rinnai label and slaps it on junk. Never get crucial home infrastructure from HD.

Are you hiring an actual plumbing company who is sending out one of their plumbers, or hiring a small plumber directly?

Youre using 1990, a huge gang war year, as a bellwether. It was 33 years ago and not an average year as far as violence. We’ve had an average of 3 shootings a week so far in 2023. You are seriously trying to get me to believe that jamming (widely unused) bike lanes everywhere in the city is somehow stopping gangbangers from shooting eachother?

It speaks to the focus of city government. The mayor made her first state of the city speech last week. No mention of violence prevention. The only thing she said even remotely mentioning law enforcement was making sure everyone knew the race of the police commissioner she hired.
