It's possible that the headphone output on your pc is not able to properly drive the headphones, coloring the sound. I do understand what you're trying to say, though. I get that same feeling out of my Monolith THX 887, and really only that amp out of the bunch I have tried.

They sound good to me. I bought them for wireless convenience, but was surprised at how well they are tuned for a mainstream audio product (Airpods Pro).
