If you like beer and dare to go to Rochester, Revolution Tap lRoom is great. Their head chef used to be a top chef at the White House and always has great weekend specials.

Thew *biggest* issue is they can say "whoops" and end the contract just like you can without a fee. I don't understand this. I mean, back when deregulation first happened, I went with Resident Power..and oops, they found out their rates were too low for the NH market, so they left and just became an aggregator. I got to go back to the PSNH rate. So far, I have been fine with Direct Energy. I'm on a great rate for now.

Re: contract, they willl email you the new terms around the contract end. Be sure you review that and make sure it is to your benefit, and if it isn't, switch.

Just looking for deposits and not loans? Ally is very good. But it’s not local. They give you allpoint ATMs for free and reimburse you $10 a month but that’s like two withdrawals - luckily no one uses cash much anymore.

The big drawback is if you deal in cash — you cannot deposit cash with ally - direct deposit and checks only. They have a 3.30 savings rate with no cap.

Their loan rates are meh.

If you are looking for personal hand holding service a credit union is your best bet. Northeast is decent but their ads about nourishing are weird. Service is supposed to be opening a branch in the new Concord plaza at some point.

DCU is great if you don’t have to talk to them. If you do, visit a branch because phone wait times or online times are horrid.
