Reply to Does the extremely large dentist office off 65 between Ozark and Springfield creep anyone else out? by hannye14
For sure. I work in Ozark so driving by it 5 days a week, I can't help but side eye the place as I pass. It doesn't look like any dentist office I've ever seen in my life and part of me suspects those commenting positively here about this place are paid actors lol.

The speed limit is only 35 on most of National, and 40 only south of Battlefield. People need to slow the hell down.

Tbf, this was back in late 80s/early 90s so it could have run down in recent years. I don't venture much to that area of town these days.

Sorta? It's the area over around Bypass and Mt Vernon-Chestnut. Some parts are definitely worse than others lol. Like I grew up on Page off of Laurel street; houses are older but it's a chill, quiet area. Other parts are more, uh, entangled in meth and such.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt my OB HIGHLY downplayed the pain of IUD insertion. Jesus. She told me it would feel like "really bad period cramps." No it felt like my cervix was stabbed. Ibuprofen didn't do shit.

Tbf I'm a pretty picky eater. I tried it multiple times thinking maybe it was just that particular dish, maybe they're not all winners. It all just tasted off somehow, even the egg rolls were weird to me.

Asian Hut. It very well could be my dumb American taste buds but I've eaten there 3 times, and every time thought it was gross.
Corner 21 there at Sunshine and Fremont though, super delicious. Massive portions too.

When it comes to overnight parking, you want to be somewhere it doesn't look odd a vehicle is sitting there at 3am. Places like hotels, car lots, parking garages and apartment complexes (those that don't require usage permits, anyway) are generally more well lit, fairly good chance of having security cameras, and since you won't stick out like a sore thumb, less likely to get hassled.
Try to avoid parking immediately alongside busier streets, particularly with more pedestrian traffic. Granted, big differences, I live at this apartment complex and I have just a regular ol car so people can easily see me when I'm parked nearby the road or alongside the buildings. I'm just a tired ass lady who sometimes passes out the second I park at home so most of the hassling I've received has been out of concern from other residents. They either knock on my window to make sure I'm not dead, or call emergency services. Have had 3-4 instances of each. And then 3 other times, approached by random dudes on foot asking for a ride. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable, enough so I keep a knife in my car now, but they did eventually accept "no" for an answer. I would think a van without windows in the back would help mitigate people trying to approach for whatever reason.

Omg the people that putt along at 30-40mph drive me insane. I get some of these on ramps are poorly designed to get up to speed (looking at you, eastbound 60) but it's not impossible either.
