ACOTAR. I don’t always enjoy YA/NA and the writing won’t knock your socks off, but I think the series has been entertaining. I like the world & characters.
It’s likely the books were built up too much by fans and people were probably disappointed or maybe everyone was just tired of seeing them recommended all the time or resent the Maas-ification of subsequent fantasy novels (a blank of blank and blank)

Anxious People by Fredrik Bachman. I read it during COVID when I was feeling really disconnected from family, the country felt divided, and people were scared & angry a lot. It reminded me that we are all just humans trying to do our best and that you never know what someone else is going through. It was a way for me to feel connected with humanity again through reading.
