If you use the Express Service then they are replacing the whole device and so you’re charged the full replacement fee. You’re getting a new battery, new screen, new back glass, new housing, everything. If you go into the store they will replace just the screen for the lower price. Let me guess, you’re using your phone mainly for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. These apps will kill your battery life. As far as always using Low Power Mode, you lose features and functionality.

Just be aware that you have to buy the cellular version to work with Family Setup. A lot of people miss that part and get upset when their new watch won’t activate and they have to spend more money and sign up for a watch account with their carrier.

I can’t relate as my 14 Pro runs beautifully. My work has about 90% of people on iOS but there are a handful on Android and any of the comparable apps just seem half-baked. Anyone switching one way or the other will find things they like and don’t like. I never try to persuade people toward iOS or Android. You’ve completely missed the point of this post. They are asking when more than 3 states are going to have the option for a digital license. Even when it was announced there were like 10 states that they listed as coming soon but it’s been such a slow rollout. Each state needs to implement their state individually.

So why didn’t companies just keep improving on USB-A? Why change it to mini-USB then micro-USB then USB-C? What if a new development is discovered that allows for a full charge in 10 minutes but requires something other than USB-C? When governments require USB-C by law then it keeps innovation behind - not promote it. That’s why all the new USB developments have changed to this point. Of course for the short term USB-C will get better and faster but at some point USB-D or something else will come out that will be better and then the EU has to change their law again. Yes, this can work but it’s still a synchronization since if you delete it from the Files app on the phone it will delete it on the Files app everywhere. There’s a big difference in a true backup service over something like Google Drive or iCloud Drive.

They best way to look at iCloud is that it’s a synchronizing service, not a backup. What you do on iCloud does the same on the iPhone. What you do on the iPhone happens on iCloud. One thing you can do is choose the option to optimize photos on the phone so not as much storage is needed. If you really want to offload pics then you’ll want to save them to like Google photos or use something like Dropbox.

Apple won’t go back to the notch so the only thing I can see them doing would be something different if they can do something under the display or if they sensors can get so small they would be imperceptible in the bezel.

Apple has specifically said that they created an Android version of iMessage but ultimately decided that it was better for their business to not release it. There already is a new standard called RCS and Google has been pushing Apple to adopt it as well. Tim Cook’s response was to encourage your friends and family to switch to an iPhone. iMessage has many of the features that RCS has but unfortunately they’re not cross compatible.

At this point the phone isn’t usable to her since it’s activation locked. Although she may be skeptical, offer that if she sends it back so you can copy the information on it then you’ll send it back to her and remove the activation lock. I mean it’s your phone so I can understand if you want to keep it but I’m guessing the photos are worth more than the value of the phone is to you.
