It sucks for the workers sure, but you're just rewarding this restaurant by also tipping. If nobody did or stopped patronizing them they would either fix what they were doing or have a hard time finding staff

Fyi that number most likely was used before you.

Honestly you should just show respect to everyone regardless of if it's reciprocated or not.

I can't look into every person's brain to describe their actions.
I can tell you though they don't work on commission.

Seems like a problem with park mobile not DC. But at the end of the day it's your job to make sure you are parked legally, not theirs.

I literally have. Or told them to pull into a specific spot where parking isn't legal but standing is.

Seems like the problem is Ubers and Uber eats drivers acting illegally, nothing to do with cyclists.

Second the griffin building, one block away from metro. I think they were originally built to be condos but they became apartments. Never heard anything.

It's both. Presumably the place where people are speeding the most is where it's most dangerous.
Honestly though I couldn't care less about it it was for revenue generation (I don't think it is though) I just want people to drive the speed limit and if cameras help even in the slightest amount then great!

Depends which highway where.
Not my fault if people are speeding and have to slow down for someone who isn't speeding and is following the law.

DC.
You can accelerate and also not go over the speed limit. They are not mutually exclusive.

No you mean to maximize the impact of the camera. If nobody was speeding there the camera wouldn't issue any tickets.

There are tons of safe cities in the world for pedestrians, numbers of people alone do not explain this.

This isn't advice to just having a car but friends in general.
I always feel free to offer if I know it's not too far off the way, I always never mind them asking... However if they expect it or you think they'll be angry if you say no or if you don't offer it then you should reconsider your friendship in general.
Before I had a car here, I never expected anyone to give me a ride and the few times I asked I tried to make it as easy on them as possible (ie going somewhere closer to get picked up and being prompt) when my friends said no I said no problem I completely understand (I didn't care what reason or no reason they give, as the most important thing was I never felt they owed me anything)

Reply to comment by the_original_Retro in ELI5: why do grocery stores in the US keep such a large inventory? Aside from being prepared for episodic panic buying like toilet paper or bottled water, is there an economic reason to do this? How much of the food ends up going bad? by DrEverythingBAlright
Yeah exactly. I worked in the produce department at a grocery store in high school, a pretty nice suburban one. We carried so many of the more exotic fruits because originally someone asked us to carry dragon fruit so we would order a handful of them every few weeks for essentially that one person who then would do all her shopping at our store.
