Lame excuse?
Not anymore. Most people consider it to be like losing a relative.

And TV executives were wrong about everything.
They disliked the jazz score.
They disliked the use of real children for the voices.
They disliked Linus quoting the Bible.
Schultz had to fight for all of these.

Reply to If they made a Carpenters biopic for the big screen, what period(s) would they focus on or what would they tell? by Luke_Skywalker_1977
It's a tragedy.
Karen Carpenter had a near perfect voice. Her songs are gorgeous, yet she never found the love or happiness she deserved and starved herself to death at the young age of 32.
Bizarrely her death became comic fodder and in death she became a joke. The same happened to Elvis Presley but at least his behavior in the years preceding his death made himself into a caricature. Karen Carpenter did nothing to warrant the ridicule that followed her death.

Yes.
House of the Dragon was much better than I had anticipated but now it'll be another 18-24 months until the second season.

There are plenty of pet owners in the executive ranks!
