That's feasible to do for sure. LP Steamers or Nick's would be my suggestions to get crabs, and I think both are very easy and cheap to get to by Uber from Camden Yards. Only suggestion would be that getting to and from Camden/Penn Station would be cheaper if you took the light rail. You can wait for the Light rail shuttle that operates between Camden and Penn every 30 minutes, or the better option imo, would be to walk like 5-10 minutes around the corner and catch the more frequent light rail at Mt Royal.

Yes, New York City has a low crime rate, but things similar to this spree of crime happen pretty consistently in high density areas of the city like Times Square. No it's not a dangerous area or neighborhood or city imo, but I bet there's a pretty violent crime happening in the vicinity of Times Square most nights because so many people move through it. Towson also has a low rate of crimes, but things like this will happen more here and not in places like Catonsville or Ellicott City because fewer people live/travel through there.

The guy above did not make a direct accusation, but implied that the hate Police Unions get from people supportive of organized labor should also target teacher's unions.

I'm a teacher in the city, I'm all too familiar with admin issues. Admin and budget issues happen when teachers aren't a part of the process and North Ave gets staffed by people getting their backs scratched. No better place to look at extremely sketchy budgets and funding than charter schools which exist almost completely to go around the teachers unions and traditional public schools.

I'm sorry but where did you get the idea that the county became majority black in 2020?? Not only is it not majority black, it is still majority white at 55%. Even Howard County has dipped below 50% white. Black people don't even make up 1/3rd of the county population. Not to mention that the majority black parts of the county have probably been majority or plurality black at this point for 30 years. I agree with what you are saying because the original guy commenting is talking eugenics, but the county is still majority white.

In this city, we just experienced a massive overtime fraud scheme that was not possible without the assistance and protection of the police union. Show me the evidence of that happening for teachers in the city. In reality, teachers in the city are having their pay and benefits lag behind the surrounding counties now.

Near Hopkins, I personally think Dudas is one of the best you can get. Could spend a nice evening out in Fells as well.

The people who go to Harborplace are not the same people who would go to those areas with the sorta exception of Fells Point. Residents of Downtown and UMMC workers are the vast majority of Lexington Market patrons. Residents of South Baltimore (or somewhere in the city/metro area) are the vast majority of Fed Hill restaurant patrons. Fells definitely caters to a tourist population to some degree, but given it's mostly bars and live music, it's not catering to families or bigger tourist groups in the same way. Yeah HP is dead but the actual Inner Harbor does still attract tourists and there are definitely days in the Spring/Summer when it is way more crowded than it should be when you consider Harborplace is basically nonexistent.

We should really make an /r/baltimorefood that's similar to /r/chicagofood. Chicago is definitely the better food city by miles don't get me wrong, but that subreddit is one of the best on the site. Just people talking about how much they love food. Doesn't get the negativity that even the food posts here bring out.

Edit: Just realized it apparently exists.

Going off of Google Maps/the city's own neighborhood designations, isn't all of Frankford below (to the southeast of) Belair Rd?

They’re not closing down the senator or the Charles because this is opening. Plus it’ll be nice to have more than 3 movie theaters in the city (parkway, Charles, Senator idk if I’m forgetting one) especially one that’ll show a wider variety of films and have more modern theaters/screens. Not to mention there’s not a single movie theater accessible to the east side of the city if you don’t have a car.

I mean you don't even have to leave the densely populated central areas! Surely Towson would qualify as being in that definition and they certainly have their racists. Essex, Dundalk, and Middle River would be the first places I'd go to look for that type of person and they're pretty densely populated areas as well. Listen to some of the old timers in Canton and Hampden talk and you'd think you've time traveled to the 1950s. Let some of the good liberals in MoCo talk about PG County or the City and you'd be pretty appalled by what you hear.
