I can't use my google home app controller to control my google chromecast on Netflix. I think we are at least a decade away still.

I mean.... killing off 6 billion people would also remove those things as you wouldn't have the resource allocation to build or maintain them.

The problem isn't numbers. It's location. Need to move humans away from fertile places like rainforests.

Reply to Removing dishwasher air gap-bad idea? by capnsmartypantz
You don't need it. Make sure you mount the high loop properly and frequently air out the dishwasher (just leave door slightly ajar after a load every week or 2).

Reply to ELI5: How are there ruins in eg. Athens when the city has been continuously settled for 2000 years? by RudiRammler
Some of these ruins stood for over a few hundred years. They were often large artistic buildings for different cultural things. So people just left it there because it has just always been there. Space and land weren't as tight and it would be more work to clear it away to rebuild then to just build somewhere else.

Reply to comment by havereddit in ELI5: Everyone knows that Ticketmaster is the biggest scumbucket enterprise on the planet yet no band seems able to avoid their grasp. What's to stop a really major act (e.g. Taylor Swift) from performing in venues that are not controlled by Ticketmaster, or just setting up a parallel company? by havereddit
You would have to privately negotiate each and every venue as well as organizing permits etc. Sign the line with Ticketmaster and you have a world tour lined up in a week.
