So I have been in contact with the manager at the Link and they said they have not had anyone call in the past few days as a mother with 15 month old needing shelter. There is family shelter available.

If it would be helpful and your friend is open to it, you could IM me their phone number so the Link can directly reach out to them to find shelter.

All family shelters take referrals from Allegheny Link.

You have to, unfortunately, call every day as shelter vacancies change each morning.

Allegheny Link is short staffed right now but they can be emailed at alleghenylink@alleghenycounty.us

They are open 8am-5pm

I don't agree with the concern that this company is going to come in and turn the units over market rate in the short term future. Their HUD contracts don't expire until 2029-2044.

I am shocked that HUD would approve the sale to this private equity firm that just started operations 3 years ago. They usually approve large sales like this to companies that have experience and history with low-income properties.

The good thing is that ARCHO is getting out of the affordable housing business because they were a dumpster fire of an organization.
