I would encourage you to contact the local Family Support Division and ask if they still provide bus passes. That program might have been discontinued (haven’t worked there in a while) but at one time they were available.

I agree with all the others, and will add Busiek State Forest, Ha Ha Tonka, Bennet Springs and Stockton Lake. All have good parking and plenty of foot traffic.
