I grew up in the South and our school let parents pull their kids out of sex ed if they felt it was inappropriate. Needless to say, most of my sex ed was self taught.

I think he is just playing dumb. Louisiana is home to a lot of oil and gas and chemical production. ESG will hurt the companies in Louisiana particularly due to the excess impact those operations have on minority communities. Going against ESG because of the "culture war" is likely just a cover to get rid of it to help their corporate donors.

My family farms in the South. We have made the comment for the last decade that the weather patterns in the South seem to be shifting to more of a rainy season and dry season like they have in the tropics. It floods when we plant, doesn't rain at all during the growing season, and then floods during harvest.
