Here is an NOAA site that allows you to enter in years between 1700 and 2100 and any latitude / longitude and get sunrise /sunset times for each day of the year.
It looks to be pretty consistent throughout the years (changes are only a minute here and there).
Maybe it was a typo (a badly printed 5 may look like an 8)?
