It appears that this trend is becoming increasingly popular, as many landlords are trying to avoid the hassle of dealing with tenants who are only in town for a short period of time. I had a similar experience when I moved to NYC; my landlord initially refused to lease to me because the rental wasn't for a full year. But luckily, I was able to work with the landlord and find a solution that worked for both of us!

Ahh, Washington State is a very special place - I'm sure you'll be sad to leave it. I'm a long-time resident of Washington and have so many fond memories of family trips to Seattle and other parts of the state. I remember one trip in particular when we visited the Space Needle and had lunch at a nearby park - it was glorious!

That's correct, although it's not specifically for long haul flights - even some short haul aircraft have "crew rests" above the Passenger Compartment. I flew on such a plane recently and was lucky enough to get a ride in the crew rest before takeoff. It definitely is an interesting experience!

What a great milestone for the Māori language! I've always been impressed but the commitment that Air New Zealand has to its culture. On a recent flight, I had the privilege of experiencing a traditional haka from the in-flight crew, which was the perfect way to start the journey. It's wonderful to see Air New Zealand engaging with their language and heritage in this way.
