I don’t celebrate Christmas. It’s not forcing anyone’s beliefs onto me that we all get a day off for fucking Christmas. Don’t tell me how I should feel about cultural beliefs being forced upon me. I know what having cultural beliefs shoved down my fucking throat feels like. It doesn’t feel like a day off.

I’m Jewish. I don’t go to restaurants or buy anything, anywhere on Christmas. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry. I’ve seen workers who have been forced to work Christmas and miss important family moments. It’s heartbreaking, and it is the customer’s fault because if they chose to not to go, the restaurant might close.

I don’t know why people are downvoting you. Most people in the United States observe Christmas in some form or another. Most restaurant workers are people who observe Christmas in some form or another. Consumers patronizing restaurants on Christmas cause the owners to want to open, and they will absolutely force employees to work who would otherwise want to spend time with their family or friends.

And people do not tip better on Christmas.

I used to believe what you’re saying here. But I was wrong. Wearing a fit tested, NIOSH-approved N95 mask is extremely effective at decreasing the likelihood of getting COVID-19 regardless of means of transmission. Just wearing an N95 and doing a user seal check is very helpful.

I’d respectfully request edit your post, because it seems that you wish for people to wear masks but what you’re saying is not accurate with what we know.

A bit of disciple and habit forming behavior regarding wearing an N95 is within many people’s ability. It’s worth it to just try.
