Reply to Attempting to move a wall outlet in my basement a few inches to the left and am totally stumped. Any help GREATLY appreciated!! by JamesHoIden
Have you removed(cut) the nails or screws holding the box to the studs? Do that carefully, make sure the breaker is OFF and don’t cut the wires coming into the box. Once you cut see if the box can be moved about 3/4” into the wall. If so it will become a junction box the send the wires to the new box. If I were you, hire an electrician and see how it’s done.

Some recirculating pumps have timers, so you set them to go when you most need it. Typically you run the circulating line ( hot of course) to the furthest fixture.

The location is also too close to the structure as well.

I think this is a very nice decorative piece. I wouldn’t use it. If you want to use it redo it and make sure to use fire brick inside.

Typically, you run the edge of the drywall to the center of the drywall so they meet. In your case because you are a beginner sister a 2x to the joist and screw away. Make sure the 2x’s are at the same level it will make taping much easier.

In 2014 we approved a 7.5 BILLION bond to build reservoirs in Cal. Maybe someone can tell me how many have been built since then

It shouldn’t if you use decent wood screws, max length, or you got too much going on on the top of the bed. Ha Ha Ha

Why not just move the rail 2” min right or left and rescrew. All it does is support slats just make sure it’s reasonably level with the other side.

That is not much weight, 5lbs per nail. Remember the 45 degree angle
l397flake t1_j25ie26 wrote
How much weight are you putting on this shelf, it won’t take much, but if light stuff, then! Try and find one stud, take 10 d common nails, not finished, nail them to the wall at about a 45 degree angle. I had that type of shelf in the past. It has holes in the back for hanging. Hang it so that the heads of the nails are in the holes. A little off level, gently tap the shelf on one side or the other.
