Not a dive bar, but went on a good amount of first dates at The Hutton in the Heights. Has a great intimate atmosphere. Good drinks too

Check out Hoboken Social Club, you can find them on Google or social media if you have. Large group of mid 20s to mid 30s. They put on a lot of free or discounted events in the area (trivia nights, happy hours, trips to wineries and sporting events). Free to join, no membership required. Met a lot of interesting and like minded people.
