My rule is...don't loan money you can't afford to not get back. If I have money and someone needs it, I will give it with no expectation that I will get paid back. If I do, then im pleasantly surprised, if I dont, then I consider it a gift so I dont ruin relationships with family or friends

Tipping is exploitive in nature and is effectivelyprostitution ones self to make ends meet. If a server doesn't smile enough or look sexy enough, they dont make as many tips. Its essentially slave labor, at the whims of assholes who can choose to not leave a tip becausethey think your ass is too big or boobs too small. It predominantly impacts women and people of color. Employers should pay a living wage to their employees instead of shirking responsibility and making customers pay it, opening their staff to harrasment and sexual assults
