Live in NJ, tried to go to school on Long Island. What would normally be a sub-2 hour drive is easily 4-6 hours on the train. While I agree rail is better in concept, our current system is only designed to efficiently deliver you to a specific set of destinations. Anywhere else it’s a crapshoot.

You didn’t get notification? I had jury duty last week (orientation on Jan 17) but I got my notification of summons in the mail on like Dec 20something.

The paragraph above the one I quoted covers that, you have to come to a complete stop then check to make sure the intersection is clear before you can go. Afaik that’s how all turn on red laws work, I’m not aware of any that allow you to roll through a right on red.

It’s specific to the city:
> You cannot make a turn at a red light if there is a NO TURN ON RED sign posted or another sign, signal or pavement marking prevents the turn. You are not allowed to turn on a red light in New York City unless a sign that permits it is posted.

I don’t think this is true, I applied and acquired my mmj card, 2 months later started the process for firearm purchaser permit, bought a rifle a week after that card was in-hand. No red flags or hiccups to my knowledge
