I work in onboarding for a staffing agency and in my experience MMJ is not handled like prescription medications are, even if a medical card is presented. The notes will say a card was verified but the test will show as being flagged positive.

That being said, we work with a bunch of federal clients and some accept a positive MMJ test if you have a medical card.

RI Housing does free “classes” you can take. We did it when we were first considering trying to buy a house and it was helpful. They give you a ton of info and can offer a bunch of resources (realtors, lenders, etc).

Some grants and programs require you take these classes to earn their certificate, which is why we’d signed up originally. Ours had a few q&a sessions as we covered all the topics.

Highly recommend if you haven’t taken them yet. There’s a class for single family home ownership and another for multi family or properties where you’d be a landlord.

I’m one of the older millennials and this entire rant is so beyond BS. Every millennial I know has worked so much harder than their parents for so much less.

Imagine being mad at someone for wanting to sit in a chair….? At some point you all need to stop blaming us for everything.

Also $19/hour isn’t great. It’s barely enough to support yourself on.
