Make sure you take some time to visit Soap Lake, just west of Moses Lake on highway 17. From there you can head north to Lake Lenore caves which is a great spot to see some of the erosion caused by the Missoula floods and has a nice hiking trail then you can head up north to Dry Falls and Coulee City. Great places for a day trip, there are a variety of small shops/markets in Soap Lake to grab a little picnic at the caves or Dry falls. Dry falls has a visitor center with lots of information on the area and hiking trails at the base of the falls. As someone who has done this with a few friends, moderately fit, it took about 22 hours with several breaks throughout the day. There were surprisingly several groups attempting it that day and a group of runners from CWU I don't think I'll ever through hike it again in one go but I'm glad we did it. Fingers crossed for this year's lottery.
