If I was doing something from scratch I’d put in-floor heating under the tile in the bathroom, and engineered hardwood/LVP everywhere else.

Maybe put a carpet surround around the tub, just for that extra cozy moldy vibe.

I might be wrong so someone is welcome to correct me but I read that using bleach like this can break down any sealant and actually cause the grout to become more porous and stain even more.

I still do it because like you said, it works, and I live in an very old apartment rental and if those floors were ever sealed it was probably 30 tenants and 60+ years ago, but I don’t think I’d try it anywhere else without looking further into it.

I agree with you. They’re SO cold, the grout ends up looking super gross so fast, they can make a space echoey, they’re hard on your back & feet, they show every little drip, smudge, footprint.

For a small bathroom I’d be fine with it but I would never ever tile anything larger than that in my house.

The night bus going up Yonge Street from downtown all the way out to the suburbs in Toronto is affectionately known as “The Vomit Comet” because it’s always full of wasted people heading home at the end of the night.

Thankfully I never experienced any vomit situations while riding it.

Did find a pile of used syringes on the floor at the back of the Queen streetcar once though.

This looks incredible. Any guesses as to what the ingredients are? Nashville hot chicken with cotija cheese, pasta is cavatappi (the best shape obviously) - what’s drizzled on top? Just hot sauce? Any guesses on the cheese sauce?

We have two TVs outside on covered patios, one in Canada and one in Florida. We have a vinyl cover for the one in Florida that we put on when we leave town. The one in Canada comes off the wall mount in the winter and into storage. We don’t cover it.

Neither are special outdoor TVs, no issues in 5+ years with moisture, and it rains in absolute torrential downpours in Florida sometimes. As mentioned above, even under a covered patio, we have issues with brightness/glare but they’re not unusable, just not as great as the uber-pricey specialised outdoor TVs.

I would recommend just getting a cover for when you’re not using it and trying to be vigilant about keeping it covered in poor weather.
