Boston Building Resources - their reuse center is mostly run of the mill stuff good for fixing up old but non-fancy homes, but they frequently have interesting and high-end pieces as well. They also have resources for buying new production parts compatible with vintage homes - like all-wood double hung window sashes that use modern vinyl rails.

My kids are in Boston public. They’re using “Structured Literacy”, which I’d describe as a modern version of phonics — understanding how letter combinations work, rules I’ve never heard of but recognize when seeing them pointed out, that sort of stuff. It has worked very well for us.

Just saw a commercial on WBZ for this episode specifically, and it said it was at 7:30 as usual, which is also what my TiVo says. Ad right before that was for election coverage "all night", which my TiVo says starts at 8 (as a CBS National news program)

J.P. Licks roasts their own, they have a wide range of varieties. Not sure how the inventory is downtown vs in J.P.

I did not have to call my old insurance co. when I switched recently. In fact they (the broker I formerly used) called me to ask why I didn't get them a chance to bid lower.
The only thing I had to do was submit new proof of insurance to my lender (DCU, despite them also brokering the insurance, they didn't tell themselves about it)
