Just to be clear, I send them an internal secure message using the left side menu. Now that I am looking back on it, I actually think they did not give me an increase, but I honestly can't remember. Sorry.

Here is the actual message I sent to Chase Card Services, Subject "Account Inquiry"

>I am requesting a credit line increase.
Total Annual Income: xxxx
Employment Status: [Employed/Unemployed, PT/FT]
Occupation: [your job]
Monthly Mortgage/Rent: x
Expect Credit Usage per month: x
Desired Credit Increase: xxxx
My credit score is in excellent standing and I have not
made any late payments. I have frequent use of this card
and recently opened another checking account with Chase.
Thank you,
[name]

They responded back in the message center the next day:

>Hello [my name],
Thank you for contacting us.
[my name], by submitting a request for a credit line
increase, you authorize us to obtain a copy of your credit
report, credit-reporting history and any other information
to determine if we can approve the request. After we
receive your response, we'll reply with our decision.
We appreciate you being a Chase customer.
Thank you,
[agent name, I think]

Chase asked you for your password... wow. That is totally surprising to me (just because they are a major bank, but maybe I shouldn't be surprised!)

I have done this through their online message system and have had my credit increased. I also believe I did it in the past over the phone

Agree with everyone here. Recommend to put some money away first at the very least but look at a car that is in line with your income. If this is your first car, maybe just consider getting a cheap or used car and learn the ins and outs of car ownership. There are other things to consider like the gas mileage, maintenance, etc.

Good luck OP

You make enough after the expenses you listed to clear your debt. Not in a timely manner but eventually. Please please check the wiki and help articles for budgeting. You need to do it.

Where do you order your fast food from? You go into the restaurant and order? or Doordash/UberEats, etc? Your food at home doesn't taste good because you probably don't know how to cook lol. Watch a cooking show to get you into a mood where you want to try cooking. Then go to the grocery store and do it. Experiment with spices.

Same question for shopping? Where do you do it? Directly on the store website? Via Instagram? It sounds like you have a problem where your mind goes to shopping when it is at rest. Is this true?

If so, when you want to shop for things you do not need, you will have to make yourself go to the grocery store and buy groceries. Obviously this will take your mind off of the mindless shopping you do. Come home and cook whatever you bought (not all of it obviously, maybe a few meals). Just make sure you cook before it goes bad obviously.

You should keep your money set aside for your expenses. The bill will come due when the other party figures out they have been paying your card off. Not sure how this happened honestly, a bit strange. You should double check someone else doesn't have access to your account because I am sure this can easily turn against you.

What does it say on the payment line? Does it mention where the money is coming from? Mine says that it is coming from my bank account and shows the last 4 of my account number.
