Musician and songwriter Wayne Carson called Springfield home for a length of time.

Country musician Porter Wagner was from West Plains which is almost in the neighborhood.

I'd bet that a look through the history of Ozarks Jubilee on radio station KWTO would yield a lot of information on musicians from this area.

I've got Telcomm as well and I've been pretty happy with them.

One thing that I'll mention is that I just have a savings and checking account and I don't know how they are for loans. Their lending practices may be completely different.

I had to wait at my polling place, north side at a small church, and the count on the scantron was higher than I'd seen before.

There were less poll workers than I'd seen in the past as well.

I use the pharmacy at the Neighborhood Market at the corner of Campbell and Grand.

The majority of the customers to the grocery store there are college students who mostly don't use the pharmacy. I rarely have more than one person ahead of me when I go to pick up my medications and I usually don't have to wait at all.

Side note: most of what I get are generics so having them on hand hasn't been an issue.
