I hope all those drivers didn't have any plans for the rest of the afternoon.

Reply to Considering a trip to Burlington in early November, did we miss all of the fall foliage? by dick-slapperman
In Caledonia and Lamoille Counties, fall leaves are gone. But on the 24th I drove south down the NY Thruway , and thought there was still a lot of color on the trees in the Catskills, so by the time you leave you may want look a bit south of that for good fall foliage, Bear Mountain and the like

Reply to My best of list for VT/NH/ME - yours? by TheMobyDicks
Recognizing that lists like these are entirely idiosyncratic, and my opinion should be held in no higher regard than yours (although it really should, of course) for the sake of accuracy I must note that Brewery category has an error. The correct spelling is Hill Farmstead Brewery, and the town is Greensboro.
Also, your favorite band sucks.

Reply to Hi everyone, my wife and I would like to spend a few days in Vermont this summer. We have a baby and a dog. A friend has told us that Woodstock would be a great place to spend a few days. Thoughts or other suggestions? TIA! by whey_dhey1026
Unfortunately, The Highland Lodge no longer accepts dogs, even in their cabins. It's a shame, as it's a great place and is close to hiking, kayaking, dining and so forth.
