Someone just posted a picture of them outside their 2 cars discussing their plan of attack. No truck, 2 sedans. I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

Oops, just checked the neighborhood message board. Someone must have called the cops because they came by and spoke with them. They showed the police some paperwork and they left them alone.
Still leaning towards light scam, but it would be interesting if someone says they were actually doing work at their house.

Just took the dog for a walk and ran into them again, so they went all the way to the end of the street and back (at least a couple dozen houses).
I mentioned that they are doing lot of walking and asked where the heck their truck was and they waived and said "a long way, somewhere over there".
For what it's worth, they were good looking, well kept and friendly. One white, one black.
I voted light scam, that's what it feels like to me. I'm guessing they'd do a crappy job of hanging shitty gutters and gouge us.

Yeah it seems like there's about a 20 degree delta between air an seawater in the winter so that seems about right.

FWIW, his wife ( who knows if she's correct) said "He cold plunged at night, alone, in 23 degree weather and the water was even colder. "

I'd always consider Worcester part of Mass, especially now that they have the WooSox.
Move the line west of Worcester.

It's not the right time of year for it, but I'd guess old guys like me will go to WooSox games. It's short money, takes up a lot of time, and most of the young folks are bored by baseball.

When I first heard this I thought there may be more to the story, like maybe she was terminally ill. 3 shots would argue against that though. Curious to hear more details.

That assumes that you work in Mass.
I live in NH, my company is located in MA and I work from home. I do not pay MA taxes.

It feels like we will get them each a Strawberry Banke membership for 2 adults (they are 2 for 1 this week), tickets to the Seacoast Eat Local benefit dinner at the Black Trumpet in January and some gear from the Eat Local website.

Thanks, I'm shocked that I didn't see that myself. They are more beer than wine people, but it looks pretty good. Maybe that an a membership so they can attend the summer concerts.

They are really more food and drink people than music people. They are also into supporting causes like homelessness and eating local, etc so I was thinking maybe a fundraiser, like the Black Trumpet Dinner in January.
I saw that cocktail class and was interested, but we'll be giving it to them on Xmas or shortly after so that's out. I appreciate the feedback.

The same holds true for Stone's Social in Nashua.
