you might also consider reaching out to vision zero. they try to make it so no one gets killed walking or cycling in philadelphia. (fucking liberal snowflake scoundrels i know.)
all those steps are good, but possibly embarrassing the council person into doing something might speed up the process. http://visionzerophl.com/

there was a recent state supreme court case that is going to recalculate how funding is allocated.

oh nice hopefully the headways stay the same when the trolleys are running. i'm just imagining someone leaving their car on the tracks "to run in and get some smokes" or something.

yeah for sure. the trolley's will make a huge difference for connectivity. the loop is there in front of Byrne's tavern- i would guess it would be a 10-15 minute ride down to frankford and girard. that will be a game changer for that neighborhood.

if you're looking to buy that is a great spot. you can still get a pretty good deal, and in 5 years it will be very expensive.

he said this july 8th- “I’m waiting for something bad to happen all the time. I’ll be happy when I’m not here, when I’m not mayor, and I can enjoy some stuff”
after the PPD so obviously planted a bullet inside one of their cloth caps.
it is fucking shameful this happened friday afternoon, and nobody in any official capacity said anything until sunday afternoon. if you don't want to do your job, leave your job. don't let a million people drink poisoned water because you want to take the weekend off.

we literally have a flair called "why helicopter". i'm sure that doesn't help anyone sleep tight.

my guess is in order to get national chains to open there, they had to be able to sell to more than just the students who are only there half the year.

this is my biggest beef too. septa has no problem hopping on the MBTA project for their double decker trains, but a fare system that will impact every rider? of course that's the time to blaze a trail.
anyone know the company who has the contract? maybe they're connected in some way with the septa board members.

i was in dc two weeks ago. paid an extra two dollars for a 2 dollar ride. if you want people to take transit as a choice, a one time paper ticket should be an option.

are you saying from a construction point it isn't possible, or hyperbole that it isn't feasible in philadelphia?

they should just make it a round-about. safer for cars, safer for pedestrians, easier to work on.

don't even have to do anything illegal. just a few more cars on chestnut or walnut and the city is frozen. couple more people on the schuykill and vine street. too easy.

i want to organize a cyclist appreciation day in philly. everyone who normally rides will get a car and we can go around clogging up all the roads once per year.

they have no problem doing it on the PA turnpike, so it should be easy enough to implement.

in new york the buses on those routes (bus rapid transit) have cameras and send tickets directly to the license plates.

every driver should thank a cyclist every chance they get. that's one extra car off the road, leaving more room for you.

i would be fine if they closed one lane to traffic and let people park on the road. but that will somehow be a crazier suggestion than preventing people from parking on the grass.

you're making your own flak, then catching it, then patting yourself on the back for it. you must be well off and close to retirement.
