Reply to $250 cleaning fee paid with lease by UnfriendliestCzech
Personally, I would go into it less antagonistically. Call them up and ask them what the cleaning fee is for (shit, maybe it'll actually make moving out easier if you don't need to worry about cleaning everything). Maybe you can let slip that you found out it was illegal and see how they react.
Pissing them off for $250 is probably not worth the headache it will cause you. Probably better to be diplomatic.

Milk bar holds a special place in my heart because it's one of the first time my kid said "this just tastes like sugar, I don't want to eat the rest". I respect any business that helps teach kids impulse control by being too sickeningly sweet for a child to enjoy.

Reply to So if I pay $15 a month for Amazon Prime, and Amazon owns MGM. Why are they trying to get me to pay $6 a month for MGM+? by MetroStephen53
It's not about them taking advantage of anyone's lack of knowledge, it's because they make the rules. Amazon decides what goes on its platform (or platforms). If they think that they can make more money by having separate services, then that's what they'll do.
Don't get me wrong, it feels shitty... but we're long past the days of streaming services really trying that hard to win you over with blockbuster acquisitions.

I don't see them cutting day 1 releases entirely -- it feels like it's too much a part of the marketing of Game Pass. I could see them introducing multiple tiers where only the most expensive includes all day 1 releases.
Either way, it'll be very interesting to see how they handle the Starfield launch. I'm sure they want to make the biggest splash financially off their flagship acquisition's first big single player title (which is something that Xbox has very much struggled with in the past). I would think that'll be the catalyst for some changes to Game Pass.

At this point, they can't stop game pass. It would piss off too many people. They'll do what every subscription service has done since the beginning of time when they are operating at a loss on the product, and raise prices or cut content.

Reply to What MMO did you play last, and what are your thoughts on it? by kujasgoldmine
Last one I played was probably Lost Ark. It was a lot of fun for a while, in spite of the... less than great management of the game. Eventually I hit the point where I didn't have a static group and I found the endgame PUG scene to be pretty unpleasant. So all the solo or easy stuff just felt like I was grinding for no reason, since I didn't enjoy the process of finding groups for more difficult content. Still, a fun game to play.
