Hi Alex, I'm a former JCPS teacher. I left this year after 15 years in JC. Another district offered me a raise and JC didnt want to negotiate or try to retain me.
I personally know 2 other teachers that the same happened.
As long as JCPS continues to allow this to happen the better paying districts will continue to use JCPS as a "minor league" to poach its trained employees.

The test is the majority of the application. There is a point system for grades but it just inputs as Math grade or Language Arts grade. The sum of all course grades are less than what the PSAT is weighed.

Then you need to watch the www.jcboe.org website for when they release the application. You need to stay on top of it and make sure your school counselor submits all of your documentation after you submit your application.
It's usually released in December/January. They have new people doing the application this year so it may be a bit behind.

Mcnair doesn't take into account what classes you are taking in 9th grade as a transfer applicant. The psat is the most important aspect of the application.

Yes you can. They do a 9th grade application. Did you take the PSATs earlier this month?

The teachers union has nothing to do with who administration hires.
But for the record you are right about administration with nepotism hires and promotions. However, they're not our union.
